So I launch my attack against the city of Stalingrad and I capture the southern and central hexes. Occupying the "center square" is my Elite 14 strength Panzer unit that has been with me since France. The Russians counter attack with a few batteries of artillery, knocking it down to 6.The Russians in the northern hex attack and I'm thinking if it can survive this attack, I'll be able to withdraw and refit the unit. It was reduced to 3 and for a second I thought it would survive, but since I stupidly had the rear clogged with units, it must have tried to withdraw on its own but had to surrender instead. Oh the pain!
