Allied Corps Walkthrough playlist and AAR

Post by Philkian »

Just a week has passed from Allied Corps' release and there are already plenty of interesting videos about it.

Today we want to show you an AAR made by youtuber Pewpewchewchew, featuring the D-Day scenario and the first videos of a complete Walkthrough playlist of the game made by Steelwarrior77 (available also in German). This playlist will be often updated so keep in mind to have a look at it in the following days (we wil let you know anyway)!

What recording software was used for these videos? I have tried both FRAPS and Dxtory and neither have worked.

BandiCam ftw for me (eventually). I had tried a lot of different options using BandiCam but the game isn't recognised by the DirectX/OpenGL window (which means that Fraps won't be able to pick it up either). BandiCam also has a 'Rectangle on Screen' capture mode and this can be used effectively for Panzer/Allied Corps. The series I'm recording is done this way.

Hope that helps. :) Wish you'd resurrect your 'Out of Eight' reviews btw - they were awesome.

I'll try it out.

Thanks for the kind words about my reviews. Doing game videos involves a lot less work on my part and I'm still able to give good impressions of the games and show what they are like. I never liked giving numerical scores anyway :)

As you might suspect, I just got Allied Corps earlier today and I'm working on a review that'll go up early July.

I used to use Fraps a while ago but haven't looked back since using BandiCam. Also compresses the video a bit as it records so you don't end up with ubergigabyte files.

The thing I really liked about your Out of Eight reviews was the good, not-so-good, and 'what say you' summaries along with the score. If you scored a game over 6 I'd generally buy it. :) Your review was actually the thing that pushed me over the edge to get Distant Worlds back in the day.
