game hangs during 1st move :(

When I try to make a move -- game hangs
I chose a unit, click a destination, game draws an arrow, initial unit vanishes (or not sometimes), game hangs :/

PS. Win XP SP3, GTX 460 SE, all drivers up to date Funny is that I played this game before after I bought it this summer...

Please, rename Panzer Corps "Audio"folder to "_Audio", and report back.
When reporting back, post your DxDiag, please.

Wow you are quick With renaming Audio all works... No sound in game ofc.

Like you've already guess, the issue is related with the sound. Your MCI is broken, probably after you've installed a codec pack, like k-lite.
Please, take a look at this thread and report back.

Ye, it was a bug in klite. It looks like they fix it in 7.7.5. At least now all is working even I enabled all audio filters in klite.

It's an API (interface), different than DirectX, for controlling video and audio. It's lighter and easier to program I think.
But it's not so much used this days, as it was in the past.
