Post by hooky1212 »

Hi,

i have played the game some months ago but it now wont run. I have updated my video drivers and sound drivers and followed other various fixes but it crashes once you click play on the auto run screen. Am running Win 7 32 bit with a Core 2 Duo and NVIDIA 560ti............. any ideas???

Just rename "Video" subfolder to "_Video" and see if it works.
Usually it's cause by a broken Windows MCI on your system caused by codec packs, specially K-Lite.

If it didn't worked only with "Video" I was going to say to try with "Audio".
Your Windows MCI is broken.
Could you please take a look at this Troubleshooting section in Slitherine forum:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 46&t=30541

In the section, "CTD, freezes, no sound or game not starting", you've different approaches to the problem.
Like I've said, most of times the cause it's a codec pack which broke the MCI.
