can we not PBEM campaigns with basic Panzer Corps?

I'm not seeing the campaigns come up for PBEM in the Multiplayer interface for Panzer Corps? Do i have to buy expansion campaigns to do so by PBEM? Thanks!

There aren't any PBEM campaigns in Panzer Corps. Just single scenario maps.

No, Panzer Corps does not support playing campaigns via PBEM. We did not see much demand for this feature, because:
- This would be very time-consuming.
- Campaigns were not balanced for multiplayer, and the chance to lose any given scenario as germans is high. And this often means defeat in the entire campaign and restarting it from scratch, which would be really frustrating.
- What happens if your opponent quits playing at some point? You could try to find a different opponent to continue the game, and then find he is not good for you (too weak, too strong, takes too much time to take his turn), which would ruin your campaign.

Do you guys think this feature would add value to the game? And if so, why exactly? Would be useful to know.

thanks for the response. I see your point. what matrix game that is world war 2 strategy do you recommend that has PBEM campaigning? i'm playing with my brother, so long games are fine for us. Any recommendations? thanks again.
