Port Assault

Post by stevemk1a »

Quick question on Port Assaults. I have contracted a MTH to conduct a port assault on a major regime's apparently unoccupied port and the logistic contract is for 13 turns or so. I activate strategic movement, the strategic movement arrow appears from my port to the enemy port, but when I right click no units will actually move. I have tried various sized units with no success. I am sure I am missing some simple step. Do I have to declare war somehow first? My soldiers are eager for conquest!

Is the path and the target hex highlighted while in Strategic Move mode?
If not, the unit is not valid.
Might simply be to heavy, once you account for all the fuel and ammunition.

Looks like many of the units are too heavy, but some that are light enough still won't transport. This is what I'm seeing:

Yes you'll need to declare war. A new Stratagem for Major Diplomacy is available for this.
