[1.25] Marine logistic points lost when routes cross

Post by kojusoki1 »

Hi
Seems when you cross your marine logistics, something weired happens.
In short, it seems when my marine routes cross, lots of logi points is lost.
If I start from another port, all looks good. Check both save game files.

Scenario with crossing routes: departure port at 21/39 has 3000, destination at 66/53 has 1500. Contract is for 2500. No damage on ports, full supply on the supply port, indeed lack of the supply destination port (but t is ok - when I cancel the route number 2, it all works just fine).
Destination province indeed has lots of units, but at province zone inventory is set to "Block receiving anyuthing and Block sending anything. In short I need to defend it, so I need to send infantry.
Also zone orders are set to "Supply units before regular supply" to make sure, the logistic points should stay intact.
With these settings I was hoping to have 1500 logistic points fully avaliable to transfer units. I eneded up with something around 270. Again, cancleing the route #2, makes it all working as intendedm despite the number of units etc.

It seems to be functioning as intended. However I do feel i should add some more detailed reports to what is shipped, so players can better analyze.

SHQ has been shipping to Perlin + Dunkerkika using the sea connection.

The former makes sense. But the latter happened because of your bottlenecks in the north. If those would not have been there the sealane would not have been used. And more points would have remained.

In this case it might be better to create seperate SHQs for the islands/foothold area and go for manual usage of the naval logistics completely.

That being said, I am looking into if I can add the option to use a form of standing orders for port hexes to for example forbid them to receive stuff (as would have been useful for Dunkerkika in your case)

best wishes,
Vic
