Summer 791 AA (6):
- The Raiders from DM did not try any attacks
- Our People developed a health drive to Volunteer for our forces (Volunteerism Profile Feat)
- Tarsus is currently run by Religious Fanatics. They have about 6.2k Soldiers. What they lack in weaponry even compared to the Neomountain Militia, they make up for in unwillingess to die
- the Vorabus Territory seems to be run by roving bands of mutants. We could make out 4 large groups of 5, 14, 24 and 30-hundred individuals. However their gear is even worse then that of the Fanatics, so they pose no credible danger
- sercurity forces managed to locate a Independant Lab. We can not allow unsupervised Science like this in our borders. There are enough dangers, without some hotheaded, unsupervised scientist adding to them! Their lab was closed and hte member enlisted into our Bureacracy
- It is time to add a standing reserve to our SHQ. The equivalnet of 1/5th of our Deployed Troops are held in reserve.
- Our stockpiles of rare metals are currently not needed, so they have been sold to allow a more reliable payment of our workers
- a cabinet meating on the Anima Circle could finally be sheduled
- recruitment quotas in Neomountain are still being met, actually cause a bit of a food issue. Time to drop the incentives down to 0. As the private salary is also exceptionally low (1 mCredit), we oculd drop Worker salaries by 20% to 4 mCredits. The workers are not happy about it, as expected.
- it is time we send out spies far and wide. We have heard rumors of no less then 3 other major powers on the planet. We need to figure out who they are, what they want and if they can be used - or have to be fought. For that purpose we send our spies far and wide:
"Primaria" from Rochu, west on pretty much the opposite side of the planet
"Morilier Commune" from Morilier, wich is at the southpole, south of Primaria
"Poitac Republic" from Poitac, also at the soutpole. Aside from Poitac and Morellier, tehre seems to be large swaths of land without surviving cities between the major players.
Winter 792 AA (7):
- one group of mutants started encroaching on our territory. Militia is tryng to intercept them
- the meeting on teh Anima Circle has commenced. And it is indeed without doubt, that they are against the direction our government is going! We changed our policies to be a lot less accepting of them. However it seems it would go to far to outright Outlaw them - at this time.
- one troop of Daggermountain raiders has been surrounded by our militia. Unfortunatley they prooved to well entrenched to dislodge
- there is a metal mining spot near Neomountain - jsut next to the Agri Dome in Ruth - that has been left untapped - until now. It is high time that was corrected!
- we got some data back from our spies and indeed should be able to contact them any time we want:
All 3 of them are Republics. So bunches of hotheaded people arguing with hotheaded people about hotheade people tpics and never getting anything done.
- our troops are not yet ready to continue the assault onto Doggermountain
- the people of Neomountain seem perfectly happy to join our military, even if there is no monetary gain it for them. We actually hard to start sending people home, just so tehy would not eat away our entire food stockpile! That clearly means we need more food in teh not to distant future. Doggermountaisn dome farm could actally be very helpfull in this regard.
Summer 792 AA (8)
- Those moutants have been moving dangerously close to Neomountain! The militia is shifting to intercept them, before the people in the city can feel in danger
- our spies in Morellier found some dirt on one the current, leaders, that could be given to the right party. The "Comemrcial Factions" - realpoltikers - are the weakest of the bunch. An ideal target to keep in power.
- the question what our next council should be came up. Staff and Interiot are particulary enticing. Unfortunately all the good leaders for either of them area already in a rather well fitting job. That means, we need the Interior Councile more! Our best option may be to move Fiona Greensun over from the Secret Service Council
- the third Charge on Daggermountain was a success! We lost about 600 men, but the enemy lost 1400 and a few artillery pieces - way more then that- and we managed to get the city under control. Luckily the private dome survived this, securing food production for the forseeable future.
- the 1st Bigrade has secured the town and started setting up defensive Positions (Defense Posture).
Summer 793 AA (9):
- The raiders even without their city, seem unwilling to give up
- one raider group was way to close to Doggermountain for Comfort. We attack. 1:6 losses
- we have some minor issues with Drake Waterline, Commander of the 1st Brigade. A problem as he is basically running our entire military right now!
- we also ran a bit short on ammo. So we ordered anohter 1000 Units to be sure.
- the Justice Humanist Knights demanded we put one of their candidates into the reserve pool. As the goal is getting rid of that old-way faction, it was rejected.
- they also demanded our Administration to reach a certain size. That demand was way more palatable.
- A try to intimidate the people of Doggermountain failed and the people of Neomountain felt spoken to instead (Paranoia, 50% chance for tight roll). Wich is not the worst, considering that a new Street Drug has caused quite some unrest there as well (Chemical High, could only hit the right city)
- discussions regarding the raiders coult - the so called "mystic Temple" - have been sheduled
- Oliver Quintlane was put in charge of the Interior Council (III/37/35/27). While he has as little skill in Administration as basically everyone else, he has a acceptable intelligence and is able to learn quickly. And his Membership in the Elite Army did not hurt either!
- the Interior councils focusses with be Taxation and Human resources
- the new Governor of Doggermountain is another question. Chunk Humanday is propably our best bet. (II/36/15/44). While he lacks any real skill, he has soemwhat acceptable potential.
- his quotas have been set to be a close similarity to Neomountains. Particulary in the Recruit department.
- the quote for the watermine has been increased to 50%. That should prepare it for a soon to be expansion of the Agri dome
Summer 793 AA (10):
- the Justice Humanist Knights are gaining traction among the people. New Secret Service reports indicate that as much as 43% of the population is behind them
- soldier morale could be better. However finally the first few bunker bust and Military Police units have been forming.
- the meeting on the Mystic Temple revealed, that they are about as usefull as teh Anima Followers: Not at all! They prefer Meritocracy and Commerce. But more importantly, their Hedonism would make it unessesarily hard to recruit soldiers and workers - that makes them a big danger. Again we put policy into place to disincentivise people following them
- there were Protests in Doggermountain. We squashed those protests with the entire 1st Brigade. We did however loose 500 of the Soldiers.
- there was a minor worker strike in Neomountain. the were treated the same as those Protesters in Doggermountain. We lost 300 militia soldiers.
- a unit of recon buggies has been formed and attached to the 1st Brigade.
- There is one spot of Rare Metals we have known off for some time now. And now we actually have the time and resources to exploit them. The Construction of the mine has begun, but delays are expected due to limited Industrial Capacity and Metal Mining
- a attempt to raise the Income taxes has failed
- we found an Ancient Archieve. We got the Guided RPG tech. Not exactly the most impressive technology we could have gotten. But usefull none the less
Winter 784 AA (11):
- Food supply got a bit tight for a while. Luckily the partial repair of the Doggermountain farm has fixed that.
- the Justice Humanist Knights wanted us to again hire their Candidate! Of course, it was once again rejected.
- Neomountain is now populous enough to be considered a minor City. However, for the time being we will not tell the population. They will only get ideas regarding "Minimum Standart of Living" or some such
- those Mutant bands of Vobarus have really been agressive lately
- we do not quite have spies everywhere, but at least everywhere that maters! Each of the 3 Major factions, as well as the minors around us have a Ring of 6 spies working within their borders
- the Supreme Command Council has been re-focussed on getting more political power for the Government. The best ideas, the best political shemes - are useless without the nessesary clout to implement them!
Summer 794 AA (12):
- As the former Doggermountain raiders keep falling back, so do the mutants keep advancing. It may be nessary to declare war on them soon!
- it is time to again look for a new advisor. The job needs someone that can either learn really fast (Capacity), or has a wide range of skills (Improvisaion, 6th Sense, wide range of skills). It sounds like Dexter Hamal would fit the bill (I/19/28/24, 10 Improvisation) seems to fit the bill acceptably. He also belongs to teh Elite Army
- Double Opportunity for Poitac. We found some dirt to make sure the passive Realpolitikers stayed in place. The option to procure and gift the leader a thing he was looking for however? Not acceptable
- we put headquarters for our militia in both our cities.
Winter 795 AA (13):
- Our recruiters have learned the proper strongarming tactics, to make sure recruitment quotas are met - even with no payment (Strongarming Regime Feat)
- Draker Waterline - Commander 1st Brigade - keep slipping in how much he likes us. He wants the Government to go into a direction we can not go (Government, opposed to Enforcement)
- we managed to encircle and wipe out the bulk of the Raider forces. Their land is now far enough away that we proposed a peace deal and the remainders were easily convinced not to challenge us!
- a minor worker strike in Doggermountain. We send the 1st Brigade SHQ in to supress them
- our spiece again got some usefull dirt, this time in Primaria. Same procedure as last time.
- we got a lukewarm invitation to a Celebration in Poitac. It was ignored.
- the Mines in Neomountain have been finished. What we need now, is Barracks for the long ago promised security. And we will also need a solar array, to power all that technology in Neomountain
- the interior council failed at getting a sales tax increase through. Hopefully it will not take to long until the leader there has "learned the ropes".
- there is oddly Hunger in Doggermountain. Despite us graciously providing food for them.
Summer 795 AA (14):
- the people finally realized that they should submit to my demands, when I make them. Even Cabinet members and Commanders are not save from my vengeance (Submission Regime Feat)
- Our Logistics network is top notch. We make sure the Trocks come on time! (Efficiency Goals Regime Feat)
- I Tasked Fiona Greensun (Secret Servic Council) to take particular care for inner security. Our spying operations are sufficient for the time being
- some of our troops apparently tried to defect to the form Doggermountain Raiders. The Leader of the Raider "Empire" even dared to tell us not to interfere. Of course we did!
- a Upgrade of the Dome farm has begun. Apparently food is a bit more scarce then I first realized.
- some selling of Rare Metals to buy Food should get us overe the timespan until the Farms are all operating properly
- one reserve pool member tried to get a Faction rolling, the "Trader Society" (Mind +3). The Interior Council and Secret Service council have been tasked to make sure he retires. It is up to him wich option for that he picks...
