Some advanced tips on how to play

Post by Kamelpov »

Supreme HQ is like a pool of unit and training land if you buy a lot of unit ahead before making the formation they all land here and get that training ahead you can say it's a garrison and at the same time the xp center.
So if you want a not green unit as regular forces you should recruit the requirement long ahead.

For the economy you have early metal and water deposit guaranteed exploit it as metal storage is unlimited and will be used all the time for the water try to make use of it as selling that hit often the trader limit and then you waste that water.

Postures you can use the hold the line after encircling a doomstack or city and cut the rest of AI or player empire off the supply line grid the best gamey use is encircle the SHQ wait till they all starve and die off. The only counter is creating another S-HQ in another city in order to supply those out and reorg the whole supply chain. (Heart of iron 3 supply kill trick but with para around paris or berlin or whatever capital as AI won't relocate)

economy wise giving 1 credit as public fund give +1 in happiness per turn compensate the corporate control -1. minimal cost for easy benefit.
Happy sect give priest so don't shut them down if possible.

For machine try to craft them instead of paying premium at the trader. Use the workshop and below ammo you got that.

There are no plane or ship so getting water around your territory mean big wall to protect yourself.

Fear reduce unrest so when you conquer city you can try to use the paranoid card and get that fear to hasten the decrease in unrest and + bonus fate point.

Upgrading units already deployed is possible click on the unit icon then upgrade.

To get the best model for buck try to have the weight slightly lower than the engine power. Equal weight and same engine power lead to underpowered engine in this game.

In non-easy difficulties only the water deposit is guaranteed.

Is there a way to control how many recruits you get or a graphic for this information? Is there a limit for the city? I did set the recruitmentmoney with the governor zone-setting to half-slider but at some point the new recruits per turn stayed at zero, i could not find a reason for this.

Usually you can change the amount you recruit with clicking on the city hex then clicking on the city size icon then governor call him then change order. Personally I do the recruitement for free as i have big word score 110 be a truthful politician and get loved by the people and they will join the army. If it stay at 0 either they aren't paid enough (salaries probably you can set that with your secretary)

I did the salaries with the governor. But the word score got down through a event, so maybe it is that. Thanks

edit: i found the problem, the zone governor did recruit workers (with order to do so) with a higher salary. As soon as the desired amount was reached the recruitment of soldiers continued.

How do you get energy, if your research keeps skipping all of the energy buildings? I can't buy it, and I can't make it. I grabbed another hex perk (in addition to the one we start with), and that's the only thing that's been keeping me going. But I'm already in trouble.

Also, how do I get money? I've had a continuously negative cash flow, and I've been scraping by selling metals and fuel. But there must be some other way to get an income, isn't there? Early in the game, I had a card for increasing income tax by 10%, too. Presumably, that doubled the amount of income tax I get, so I suppose I'd really be in trouble without that.

Finally, when looking at resources, the list on the left side of the main page never matches what I see when I look at the Items tab at the bottom of the page. And neither of them seem to make much sense. Just now, I had a ton of food one turn, but I ran out completely by the next turn, and I can't figure out why when looking at either of those places (which don't, again, seem to agree with each other). Could someone explain how to decipher that information?

My apologies if this is the wrong thread for this.
