Why are ships not auto-pathed around discovered mines?

Why are ships not auto-pathed around discovered mines?

They are pathed right through them even when there are safer alternative routes. This seems like an easy fix and would really help the naval AI?

Same thing with spotted ships; have to use the shift click method to steer around them to avoid the -1 "sailing through" penalty.

Yes this is very true. Seems like an easy thing to program to go around instead of just barging through everything...
