Disbanding Minor Country Units

Playing a full campaign with a number of minor country units spread across the map. I'm able to disband major country units but not minor....what am I doing wrong?

This is correct because if Minor country units could be disbanded then there would be occasions where it would be done for gamey reasons. Therefore it isn't possible.

OK, thank you for answering my question. Pleased its not me, but intrigued why. Anyway all that 'gamey' stuff just isn't cricket. Spoils an excellent product.
