Divisional Campaigns

Post by vonspee »

I really enjoy the scale of these division actions. Is there any consideration being given by the devs to making more of these? This game would be great for an eastern front campaign - Tannenberg & Galicia. Other theatres that deserve representation are Serbia, Italy and the Ottoman Empire - Gallipoli, Arabia and the Caucasus. I would imagine they would be similar in scope to the current 1914 Division Campaigns with no research or limited ability to perform certain upgrades.

I have poked around the mod section of the forum but most of the Division scale mods seem to be dead, having no postings for a year or more. Perhaps those could be finished and placed in the community pack for us adoring and addicted fans? The Great Game 1913 mod is a great start - the global scale is awesome allowing you to try to defend far flung German colonies in the Far East and fight for Africa. I'd love to play a historical version of this mod too!

Anyways, how does everybody feel about Division campaigns? Is there a desire for it? Hats off to Fury Software for an awesome game! :D

Hallo,
I never played ( or found ) a divisional campaign. How to find and play them?
Probably I will become a fan to join your question.
Thanks,
Frank

Here's another 'Divisional' scale scenario by Jazon: 1920 Polish-Soviet War.
Here's the link: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 2&t=355755

Also to get a feel of this from the Bolshevik point of view, here's a YT playlist link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 0D36rD7T4t
Its was a slightly older version with a few kinks that got sorted.
His latest version works and plays great.

Jazon is also working on a monumental divisional scale East Front 1915 scenario.

Hi,
I was offline for long time, because I got my stuff at university pretty tight. If anybody wants, I can post current state of work on 1915 Campaign. Maybe if you guys play a bit you can give some suggestions and maybe help in developing. It's basically playable, but no special rules were done yet. Also it wasn't tested yet, but if you want to try for yourself, give me a hint I will post it in MOD section.
