Call to Arms knock-out Tournement?

Post by rockmanbob123 »

Is there any interest in a knock out tournament with the "call to arms" (entire war) scenario. If I have at least 3 replies I will post rules and new topic. Start would be in the new year and probably 8 weeks for each match to finish

I don't know if you've seen this, as it looks as though you're not the only one interested in organising a tournament:

Well.... rockman.... you are currently player number 15 (provisionally) in our Call-to-Arms tournament list....this makes you the "first alternate"... 14 players are now in action and I am waiting for another player so that we can pair you immediately.
Ours is not an immediate "knock out" tournament.... 3 games guaranteed... then, based on scores, the plan is to have a single-elimination 4-player bracket from the top 4 points players.

A single-elimination "knock-out" tournament may be appeal to a different set of players?

anyway... if you have 3 players... maybe we can meld the players into my tournament? ... If we get 18 players, I plan to lock out further entries.

Like I said, play is already underway (Started December 10)... with 14 players.

I am attaching our rules outline, so that you or others can compare what you are developing with what we have going.
As before, I need an email from players that really want to join, so that we can communicate better with the group.
Good luck with your group...and as I have sent to you by pm before, if you want to join in ours, you will need to review the rules then send me an email (gkizziah@aol.com) that you agree to the easy format and are ready to play!
PS: Bill... your invited, too!!!!!

Thanks Gary, I would absolutely love to, but am not sure I've got the time unfortunately.

To Gamerdude:

I did not see you were organizing a tourney...but yes I would be in if space available, or as an alternate if not.

I will defer the "knockout" tourny I suggested so it does not conflict with your effort.

Thanks You for organizing.
