Shadow Of The Tsars - Incredible White Strength - Part 2

Post by formerlybalbo »

In relation to OldCrowBalthazor's up-coming mirror match with StrategyWolfGaming, copied directly from my comment on the former's YouTube channel.

Oh I can't wait to see this OCB.
I remembered how badly you were out-numbered by Duedman (amongst a large number of other issues) and how well you performed against SWG the first time around in turn, and in relation to the post that I did on the forum a while ago on how the Whites are so much stronger in-game than they were IRL, I decided to count up all of the units for each of the White factions and sub-factions.
Bear in mind now, these figures do not include Finland, the Karelians, the Antonovists, the Astrakhan Cossacks, the Orenburg Cossacks, the British, the French, the Americans, the Germans, any partisan units that may a-rise from the result of Bolshevik occupation, or any units e.g. militias or armoured trains that might be gained by capturing locations.

In total, the anti-Bolshevik White forces can mobilise (including their starting units, and giving a few units resulting from spawns not included in the production queue):
HQs - 28
Infantry Divisions - 76
Infantry Brigades - 2 (starting Freikorps units, ir-replace-able)
Infantry Corps - 35
Cavalry Divisions - 34
Naval Infantry - 3
Militia - 3
Partisans - 1 (starting Estonian unit, ir-replace-able)
Artillery - 9
Anti-Air - 5
Armoured Cars - 7
Armoured Trains - 12
Tank Corps - 3 (at least)
Fighters - 5
Airships - 2
Recon Bombers - 6
Submarines - 2
Destroyers - 5
Light Cruisers - 3
Pre-Dreadnoughts - 1
All of this, with-out even counting revolting factions, persuade-able factions or liberate-able factions, means that the Bolsheviks are out-numbered by multiples in some of the most important categories, namely the standard units such as infantry and cavalry divisions, as well as infantry corps. You're going to have one hell of a battle a-head of you Commander OCB!
