I respect you. But you should stop complaining in this forum about your "bad luck" because it is all a bunch of lies. Germany developed AA level 3 one month before the USSR (1942-06-19). I can perfectly win any game with those German hits. By the way, only in May 1942 did I get for the USSR Infantry Weapons level 2, I had to survive a whole year using level 1 arms and I didn't complain. It is only a game!

Not trying to stir the pot here but I was interested to see the Research graph showing only 2820 MPPs spent by Germany presumably up to the point the game ended?

I'm always interested to see what others spend on Tech.

I was spanked in a game by Bavre - another top player - who at a similar point in the game, mid 1943, had spent 5800 MPPs as Germany. Japan had spent 3300 MPPs and Italy 1225.

I think the value of investing in Technology is occasionally overlooked.

Most of the stuff listed here isn't really that gamey. IMO, out of that whole list, I'd say farming exp is the most gamey thing. Mostly I just don't want to watch tons of air/navy bombardment of settlements every turn.

There are some things that can still be better balanced and I still stand behind most of what I posted here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 6&t=398267.

- LR amphib is still too strong
- Diplo on majors/DEI/etc is probably too much but these can just easily be house ruled
- North Africa needs to have more incentive for the Axis to fight there
- Weather is weather and has gotten better with the air changes but still can sometimes really swing games especially naval battles

"Most boring game I've ever played. Zero action. Bavre does the delay crap with Luxemburg, Norway, Denmark, etc. Leaves North Africa. Just sits there with Japan. Well, took the capital with the slog method with Elite-13 Armies, but Chinese were quite strong. But there's no action. Russian was a complete bore.

In our other game, I was Axis.
You completely abandoned the Pacific.
I took Hawaii, so there had to be a patch for your Axis & Allies x3 Triple Team of Europe.
Leaving Hawaii, what a joke, USA wouldn't have stood for that.
Additionally, you were "Mining" in Norway, another illegal move.

I tried to politely explain it in PM, but just to be 100% clear:
I'm NOT asking for a rematch nor will I ever. Despite your false accusations and outright lies the reason is nothing that happened in the game. The problem is your behavior here. Most of the issues you had could have been solved with an ingame message or a PM. Didn't I even offer to amend houserules on the fly in game 2? Heck, in game one I offered to not let the game count in a futile attempt to calm you down. If you want to, I'd totally be OK with asking EarlyDoors to annul both our games.

As to your accusations:

You're upset about XP grinding? Really? YOU? Please tell me this is satire. (In case you don't get it: you just declared your own, far more extensive grinding in the very first post of this thread as legit)

About the other game being slow, well I explained that in detail under your rant there, in case your're interested.

But judging by your previous beef with Taifun and the proof of his points that he posted, this is either how you roll or you're suffering from some sort of very distorted perception. E.g. the "very strong China" you claimed to have had was 99% annihilated and down to 70-80 MPP per turn. In the "completely boring Russia" I killed Zhukov and reached Moscow in september 41.
