Issue with Auto-Saving during PBEM

Hey,

I have a 'weird' issue to report and tbh i don't even know how to explain it but here goes.

I started playing TRP WiE and WaW 5/6 months ago from both my work Laptop and my home Laptop. There were no issues until the latest update with the auto-saving feature.

The problem is that when i play my turns from my home Laptop the 'uploading' part from auto-turns or just end of the turn saving takes ove 2 minutes. That wouldn't be a very big 'problem' but when i play from my work Laptop this only takes like 20 seconds. My work Laptop is a 600 euros PoS that barely runs the game while my home LAptop is a state of the art Alienware Laptop. Both internet connections are done by fiber optics and have amazing upload and download scores on okla test site.

Has someone else encountered this kind of problem? I am open to asnwering all pertiment questions and giving more details if someone can figure this out. It isn't gamebreaking but it is a bit annoying to have to just over 2 minutes for each auto-save .

That is very odd indeed and I don't know if there is maybe some 3rd party software getting in the way on your home laptop?

Perhaps AV software slowing things down?

Just wondering out loud here as there should be no functional difference between PCs, e.g. they simply connect to the PBEM++ server and send the turn data and that's it, and normally should be fairly quick just like you noticed with your other PC.

If you attempt to do a regular save via the in game save button, e.g. not the autosave, does it also take 2 minutes?

Yes. Everything that is linked to 'uploading' to the PBEM servers takes a long time.

Funny thing is that i went to NICE (France) yesterday and using the hotel internet was even faster on my work PC then at work. And doing the Okla speed test i saw that the upload speed was 1/5 of what i have at work.

The ways of the PBEM are weird.

I also think that this may be smth related to a 3rd party app but i haven't managed to identify it.
