Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

The bad weather bug (seemingly only in snow/frozen conditions) negatively affects regular transport capability of land units, and even amphibious transports, at least for certain units, in an inconsistent manner.

After some additional play-testing with WaW 1.18.00 (I suppose it’s the same for WiE 1.28.00), the weather transport bug does seem to be applicable universally, though like I said, inconsistently.

In a Major nation’s homeland, however, it’s particularly inconsistent in that with identical snow/frozen weather conditions, a Special
Forces unit, for example, cannot transport but can amphibious transport, whereas a Corps cannot do either.

Confirmed furthermore that this weather transport bug did not exist in the previous 1.17.00 and 1.27.00 patches, respectively: it is introduced with the latest 1.18.00 and 1.28.00 patches.

Al Stewart's 'Roads to Moscow' song in your signature. It's such a hauntingly beautiful song and a tribute to Alexandr Solzhenitsyn
Yes indeed OldCrow...it is a personal testament of and by the literary dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn from his autobiography. This guy was super bright, with a degree in mathematics and physics from university at Rostov. He formally graduated just weeks before the Nazi invasion and was assigned to drive horse-drawn wagons in late 1941; due to his education was placed in command of an artillery unit in late 1942. This academic accolade almost certainly saved his life because he was immediately transferred to the fron[tier] (which front...? Western maybe) from which apparently his unit (and many other forward units) were decimated during the early months of Barbarossa.Alexander Solzhenitzyn.png

My 'hippie' (yes, real hippies!) influenced elders witnessed "The Year of the Cat" tour in a small community college in Portland, Oregon in January, 1977 when I was 13...I've loved the song ever since; I too find it chilling...to the bone.
This song is about him. Renaissance, Mother Russia:

I would hold off a bit. The devs are aware of this bug and said it will get fixed after the New Year sometime. Besides its the holidays and there is a process to get these 'hot-fixes' done, at least, that is what I have seen in the past.

With the new patch I find that A/C now attack and defend in ALL weather conditions, snow, blizzard and rain. Is this by design? A/C don't seem to be grounded in bad weather or be affected by bad weather to fly, move, attack or defend even when the entire area is in bad weather.

Yes, aircraft rules changed in the games series' previous patches: WiE 1.27.00, WaW 1.17.00, and WWI 1.11.00 with regards to operations in bad weather. If I recall aright, spotting is reduced 50% or to 1 hex if moved before attacking (?), damage from attacks are reduced by 50%, air units will no longer de-entrench in bad weather but will still de-moralise normally.

The actual specifics are noted in the patch notes.
