Failed(left_button_down)

Post by Bertram »

I got the above error message in one of my PBEM++ games (against IrishGuards - IrishGuards, if you read this, this is the reason why you didn't get a turn yet).
This is after the latest update (1.06) this morning. Started the turn 3 times, got dumped with the same error message each time. Happened twice when moving the same unit (into a marsh hex), once with an other unit. Never saw this error before.

Hi Bertram,

Apologies for this and can you send me the ChallengeID so I can grab the PBEM++ turn and take a look and quickly resolve this for you?

If you can send me the instructions on how to repeat it as well that will be very helpful, please send to support@furysoftware.com

Thanks,
Hubert

Apologies for the error and for anyone else please experiencing this please download and apply the hotfix found here in the following Dropbox link:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rws9ibv5u2al ... iL0ea?dl=0

You'll just have to grab it from the download link and copy/paste it into your installation folder for your game replacing the existing game EXE.

Typically for a Matrix game installation it would be in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe

Thanks again for your patience,
Hubert

Same error message as above, swamp move, downloaded fix but further error message when I try to install, as attached. Have I really got to reinstall the whole thing, and the updates? It was working fine until 1.06.

And, if I really must reinstall, could someone reset my download link?

Cheers

Hi Odenathus,

No you shouldn't have to install the whole thing at all as the hotfix should just replace the existing game EXE. The error message above indicates to me that it is possibly not launching from the correct installation folder. When you copied it over to the installation folder did it ask you to confirm the replacement of the existing EXE?

If you have any further trouble I'd be happy to assist you more directly and feel free to contact me at support@furysoftware.com

I've also updated the hotfix, see link and instructions below:

Got to say, excellent service!!!
Hubert send me a hotfix, a correction on it (PBEM++ compatability), and a follow up, all in the weekend!!!!

Odenathus: I got the same message, after I copied a (2) numbered .exe file to my SC folder and renamed it. Solved it by deleting the file - both in the SC folder and in the download, and redownloading and copy/pasting it in the SC folder. It seems the file system is finicky when it comes to names and renaming.

I also got this error and the hotfix worked fine for me, too.
Thank you very much!
