Two (Possible) Bugs and a Suggestion

Dear Tech Support,

I'm playing the Fall Weiss II -- WIE 9.1 mod and I thought I would mention a few things.

(i) I had a German HQ "double attach" to a unit recently. This used to be an annoyingly regular issue in one of the early versions of the game (maybe SC II -- Weapons and Warfare although I can't remember that far back) and so far I have only noticed it once, but I thought it would be worth mentioning. HQ attachments are low enough that you can't afford to waste them on an active front.

If anyone else has experienced this issue, I would appreciate if you mentioned it here in the Forum.

(ii) I also had a unit recently go "dark" after clicking on it. In other words, I clicked on one unit to check to see what I might want to consider upgrading (or whatever) and then decided to wait and deal with another unit first only to discover the original unit was now "finished" for the turn (e.g., could not be moved, upgraded, or reinforced). Again, this used to be an annoyingly regular issue in one of the earlier versions of the game and so far I have only noticed it once, but I wanted to bring this to your attention.

Again, if anyone else has noticed this happening, I would appreciate if you mentioned it in the Forum.

(iii) Finally, this isn't a bug per se, but I thought I would say something about the new "auto-save" function. On balance, I think it is a good -- and long overdue -- feature, but I think the time frame for the auto-save needs to be tweaked (i.e., the auto-saves currently occur far too often). For example, sometimes the auto-save kicks in after your opponent's replay has just finished (i.e., before you have even made a single move for your turn). Like, what's the point of that? Maybe the time when the first auto-save kicks in could be lengthened and/or the period between auto-saves could be extended. That sort of thing. I understand this is a tricky balance (i.e., the longer the period between auto-saves the more data you may lose in a crash), but the current system is kind of annoying.

Playing MJY, so same game and mod. Playing 2 games, each as Axis and Allies.

i) I have had the HQ's (especially German) double attach in the past. I think it has only happened once so far in this game as axis. But I can't see when my unit loses attachment when he is doing the turn necessarily. Sometimes I wonder how he got such great hits on it, and then when I look at it on my turn, it is unattached. I do the middle attachment (forget what is called (Auto-attach.) Not Manual or Auto. I have switched to manual when the game is really getting annoying on losing attachments, but that doesn't appear to help much. You have to check all your units that should be attached each turn, and when you find one that isn't, have to look for the unit that is double attached. I only noticed it happen in this game as axis once so far. But it is usually going on during Barbarossa. And we are now in 1942.

ii) I have not experienced the unit go dark after clicking on it in these games. I used to in the earlier versions of the games pretty regularly. But I hope that has not come back.

iii) Yes, I like the idea of an auto save since the game does crash on occasion and I do try to save regularly as I don't like redoing a turn. But it does need to be tweaked as it auto-saves just a little too often. It is very annoying. But great idea.
One area that my game might crash about 40% of the time for me is when I have ships near the bottom edge of the map or on the area to transfer to middle east and if I am cycling thru my units to see what I have not moved, when it gets to those ships the screen goes wacky and can knock me out of the game or I stay. But it does not cycle that unit even if he as moves left.

Thanks for the reports, I'll double check the first and second report, and for the third I've adjusted the autosave for right after your opponents replay, that was an oversight, and we'll look into increasing the length between autosaves as well.
