Hi Falgazar,
I don't use the steam version personally, but I believe they should go in the same place as the matrix version. Namely, place the contents of the 'Campaigns' folder from the Napoleon zip into the following location:
Documents/My Games/Strategic Command Classic WWI – Breakthrough/Campaigns
If you don't have that last folder, create a new one called 'Campaigns' and then paste in there.

Regarding the event sounds, those will need to be pasted in the game directory in the steam folder (probably something like C/Steam/Steamapps/Common/SC Classic WWI/Sound)

Let me know how it goes, and hope you enjoy the mod :)

ORIGINAL: Falgazar

doc/my games/strategic command wwi

Go to that then, and create a new folder. Call it 'Campaigns'. Then paste the Napoleon scenarios inside that.

If you also have the WWI version of SC3 installed as well, make sure that you are copying into the folder for SC2 Breakthrough, and not into the SC3 files. The SC2 one will have 'Classic' and/or 'Breakthrough' in the name.

Help needed with the Napoleon mod. I bought strategic command WW1 Classic from matrix games. I installed the game in
C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWI - Breakthrough\ and the mod in C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWI - Breakthrough\Campaigns. But when I load the game I dont see any of the napoleonic scenarios. I can see and play the ww1 scenarios but I do not see any Napoleon scenarios when I start the game. Can someone please help me. Thanks alot.

G'day TigerVictory,

Two things I can think off without actually seeing what is in your folder.
1/ Did you unzip the mod's folder?
2/ Did you make sure both the campaign's folder (eg, a folder called _1805 Napoleon on the March) AND the campaign's *.cgn file are in the folder.

Result should look like this:

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I did unzip the mod folder and I did make sure that the campaign folder and the campaign .cgn file are in the folder. I still only see only the ww1 scenarios only. Thanks.

If there was WWI files in the folder you were pasting into, that's the wrong folder. Make sure the directory you are pasting the Napoleon files into is:
C:\Users\<name>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWI - Breakthrough\Campaigns

Yes I put all the napoleon campaigns in the campaigns folder. And I have put the ww1 campaigns in a folder called CG. Now when I start the game nothing shows up. You cannot have two campaigns folders right. So I am following exactly as you say but now when I start the game nothing shows up on the main screen. Thanks for your kind help.

There are two campaigns folders. You need to carefully check you're using the right one.

One is the game's directory for the official campaigns (eg. 1914 Call to Arms). That is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command Classic WWI\SC2 WWI - Breakthrough\Campaigns (or if you're using Steam, you'll go through a Steam folder somewhere). Modded campaigns in this folder will not appear in the list of campaign choices in the game.

The other is the directory for custom campaigns (eg. 1805 Napoleon on the March). That is located at C:\Users\Bite\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWI - Breakthrough\Campaigns. This is the one you want to be using for Napoleon (if you were to paste a WWI campaign here, it would appear in the game list, in italics).

Make sure the *.cgn files are added too.

Hope this helps,

what files should be in the mod directory. I mean I have put the napoleon files in the directory you recommended. Then I go back to the original game exe directory and start but still I see no napoleon games. Right now I only have napoleon mod files in C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic ww1 - Breakthrough\ Campaigns. I think there is a linking issue. If you can tell me what all files go in the mod directory and how to link it with C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic CommandClassic WWI\SC2 WWI - Breakthrough\Campaigns maybe it might work. Thanks a lot.

The files that should go in the My Games/.../Campaigns directory are the ones in the picture I posted yesterday, ie. 6 campaign folders, and 6 *.cgn files.
Simply pasting them in there should be enough to make them appear in the game (you may need to click over to the second or third page of scenarios in the list - they will be listed last, and Breakthrough has a lot of campaigns!).
If that doesn't work, I don't really know, must be an issue with your installation? :|

If you've not yet resolved the issue, can you email me some screenshots so we can take a look and hopefully come up with a solution?

Thanks for all your help. The napoleon mod is working fine. I had to install it on another computer and now it works fine. I think it was a installation issue on the first computer. Thanks a lot for all your help. God Bless.
