Storm of Steel question

Post by southiesox »

Ok, so I am new to this franchise and just bought this version. I am trying to figure out why when playing storm of steel I am unable to move into some countrys boundaries. For example, if playing germany, I cant attack Poland in sept 39?? I feel like im missing something. Is there a way to edit the game so that any unit can move through any country? Thanks.

Maps (that grid button on the side) -> War Map -> Click on Polish Flag -> Declare War

As long as a country is 100% in the war, it can move units into the territory of any nation that is also in the war, friendly or enemy. Because "Storm of Steel" starts in March 1939, only Germany is 'in the war', with all Allied nations neutral. Depending on your actions and those of your opponent, other nations will enter the war at various times (for instance, attacking Benelux will bring USA closer to being in the war by a few % points, and taking Paris should bring Italy into the Axis).

It will also be worth reading the manual so you don't completely miss an important mechanic when playing!
