Truck units

I'm currently playing the Vietnam War scenario (Vietnam 1965-1968) and I wonder, what can the truck units and helicopter units do? I'm guessing transport supply and/or soldiers, but I have no idea how to make this work. Any directions over here?
I need ten females for each male...

I think trucks contribute to the efficiency of your supply.

Helipcopter transports allow the transportation of troops. You’ll notice a helicopter symbol on the unit in question. All of the details for both of these are in the handbook.
