How do FITE players compare the new FITE TOAW 4 play compared to the old FITE TOAW 3 gameplay?

What's the consensus of opinion of the overall game play of FITE in the new and more detailed TOAW 4 version as compared to the older TOAW 3 version?

Gameplay of the two versions is almost identical as far as I can tell. Be aware that there's a 5.0 version of FITE.

In FitE2 the Axis player has extraordinary advantages given.
No cost for Axis units for enemy ZOC.
Movement bias so more movement range for Axis on turn 1 and 2.
Less cost to enter enemy hexes.
You are not allowed to bomb bridges.
No interdiction allowed. Ever.
Axis land shock it 150 for three turns. Then 120 for three turns.
Axis has recon for turn one. After that no one h as it for the rest of the game.

A few other differences such as the Soviets being at regiment level instead of divisional. If you read the document that comes with the scenario you can read all about it. [;)]

All in all I'd say it plays quite differently. Kind of hard not to with all the changes.

Here:
Axis Zoc cost:,0 for 3 turns then 50% of normal until turn 12, then 75% until Rasputitza
Axis movement bias: 150% at turn 1, then 125% at turn 2, returning to normal on turn 3
ne nothi tere te deorsum (don't let the bastards grind you down)

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.

You were comparing FITE with FITE2 and I was comparing the TOAWIII FITE with the TOAWIV FITE. But yes, I agree with all you've said. Well said....good list. Did you happen to mention the new rules about the Axis minor units? No Stacking for them?

Nope. You've played them both so you understand when I say I really don't want to do that much typing. He can read the docs. [:D]
I reread his post. You are right, I don't think he was talking about FitE2 but I'm not entirely sure. [&:]

Actually that might be the best way to find the differences between the two scenarios because they are vastly different. Similar in principle but the execution for FITE2 is expanded and inclusive. It's like they are two different games now.
