FITE2 MODIFIED START

Post by loveman2 »

Looking for a Soviet opponent, preferably a novice as a decent player will win as Soviet no matter what.

I have modified this game to allow for the Hungarians & Rumanians to attack from the start, also I have included a penalty for production loss for the Russians if certain cities are captured as FITE2 V1.9 does not allow for this and Russian production is unaffected in the stock version.

If any player is interested we should also play to the following house rules:-

1 - No soviet movement allowed on turn 1 for all units.
2 - All soviet units west of the Dnieper river and west of Pskov in the north fight and die on that side to stop the Russians from running away.
3 - No partisans.
4 - Sovie player must disband all river boats, the soviet navy must be used for defence purposes only.

If interested PM me please and I can send you the game files.[;)]

I’m not a FITE player, but I do like that you’ve modified the scenario to make it more playable. For items 2, 3 and 4 you might consider additional modifications:

2. Exclusion Zone 2 does not appear to be used. Use it to block retreats in the affected areas until removed by an event on turn XX. The exact number of turns will need to be determined thru testing.
3 and 4. Delete partisans and river boats from the OOB. Hopefully that doesn’t break any events.

Also, since a PBM game of FITE is a huge commitment, try offering a game limited to 20 or 30 turns. At the end of the limit have an agreement with your opponent to either continue in 10 turn increments or end the game. Maybe more players will take up your offer when there is an option to end early. Also, in a game with limited turns, you might want to have some fun and play from the Russian side.

Best Regards, RhinoBones
