Bonus regions

Post by amtrick »

I actually hate to start a whole new thread for this but .... can anyone clue me in as to the presence on the "score sheet" of Bonus Regions? What are they, how do I get them and how much do they add to the score? Looks like that line is a holdover from some unfinished or dropped part of the development.

Aren't bonus regions just areas that the French player created via card play? Like Kingdom of North Italy or Kingdom of Bavaria? That's what I always thought it was, but not 100% sure.

Cleveland is correct. The player scores some significant bonus points for executing cards that create new French Kingdoms:
Northern Italy, Spain, Westphalia, Grand Duchy of Warsaw, Naples, Bavaria, and the Confederation of the Rhine.

When I've played all those things scored points for the French as "Major Events" not "Bonus Regions". I have yet to have a Bonus Regions score other than 0 at the end of a game, even though I accomplished all or most of the Major Events. The Brits have never had a Bonus Regions point either.

Perhaps these are actually "Bogus Regions". [;)]

It turns out that the "Bonus Regions" are in fact a holdover of a feature which was dropped. My bad.

That line from the Game Summary will be omitted when the public beta goes final.
