I would think when they have a date they would post it. No need to ask questions there is no definative answer for.

Remember, the team just got patch 2 out.

With the exception of production, the best way to learn IMO is to find a like minded newbie and start a Guadalcanal Scenario.  Once you both have a few of the concepts worked out.  Start over using what you've learned.  Repeat as needed until one or both is ready for a GC.
The Guad scenario works for me because both sides have the opportunity to plan and conduct amphib ops and surface actions.  With a limited map and units to handle, the workload is not overwhelming.  The victory conditions to me make it seem one-sided in favor of the Allies but if that is a problem...switch sides and replay.  Any questions you can't resolve can be posted and answered here on the forums.
Man does not enter battle to fight, but for victory. He does everything that he can to avoid the first and obtain the second.

Meh, bit of a sad place to post as a new WitPAE player. I just bought one of the most complex wargames on this side of the galaxy and there's no tutorial :-(.

And looking at the date of these threads there's not a tutorial coming either. Bit disappointing, but hey. I'll give the suggested scenario's a try.

Welcome! You'll enjoy this game... as you can see by my join date, I'm new, too! I highly suggest the Guadalcanal route... start a game or two before you dive into a full-map campaign.

And we all play PBEM... not many people actually play against the AI. PBEM is where it's at. ;) I also HIGHLY suggest reading basically EVERY page of the manual, because it contains lots of good info. Just read a few of the early chapters to get an idea of the game, and then skip to the chapters that actually interest you and read in that order until you've exhausted the entire manual. Good luck!

These video tutorials should help you get started.

Don't forget to drop a line of thanks to the people who put this together .

I've checked out some of the videos and they are well put together and should help anyone get started in the right direction. Admiral's Edition isn't your usual game, it will take time to grasp , there will be bumps and bruises during the process but that's how you learn this fantastic game.
Some people myself included have been playing this game since hour one of its release and are still learning and/or forgetting things so don't get discouraged.

Taking on one of the smaller scenarios is good advice.

The thread mentioned doesn't say anything about the tutorial. And certainly not that the tutorial is cancelled.

I think pad152 interpreted Joe Wilkersons's remarks quite deliberately.
Actually I am not aware of any message of the AE team or Matrix about cancelling the tutorial.

I interpreted it as delayed indefinitely due to budget issues![8|]
