Ground forces symbol greyed out

Post by JDL »

I've bee playing the Guadalcanal scenario and found that when I reinforce the island the troop symbol changes from green to grey along with others. I can't find why this is, I'm guessing a supply thing but they seem to have a lot. I've checked the manual and can't find anything so any help would be appreciated.
Apologies in advance for what is probably a stupid question.

I'm away from my computer, but I believe this I'd caused by different nationalities at the same base (?).

If it was a stupid question, I would be the first one to ask it. In fact, I have a copyright on all stupid questions. Your question is pathetic in how not stupid it is. Clearly you think you can just horn into my territory. Your questions are going to have to get a lot stupider before you can even dream of challenging me.

If there are New Englanders mixed with Ohioans there's bound to be problems.

Sorry, bad joke.

Ohioans don't mix well with anyone, not even Minnesotans! Gorn and Ferengi are a much more suitable match.

What green originally? Bright green is Aussie, olive drab is USA.
What gray color? Large units (divisions and corps) show a duller version of their national colours, so the dull version of olive drab could look gray. But the Dutch national colour is also grey.
If there is more than one unit at the base, the first one in the LCU list is the one whose colours are on top.

Or maybe you are just getting bleary-eyed from playing the game for 16 hours straight! [:D]

You talking about the little icon at the base on the map? If so I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm a New Englander living in Ohio.[:D]

Anyway, the LCU icon tends to darken as the Number and /or size of LCU's increases. 2 US bases, 1 light olive drab and the other darker olive drab. Look at the number/size of units and you will see what I mean....GP
