This is one of those "what ship is this" things. I was trying to find where the picture below was taken so I could figure out what that is behind the flag on the stern of the ship. At first I thought maybe two shell splashes from the main guns, but no, couldn't be. An artificial structure then, maybe a gantry for loading ships? Anyway, what ship is this?
The ship that once fought with ANZACs against Germans and was later celebrated in Australia when visiting. Those twists of history

That picture is in Wikipedia as BC Ibuki, which was the one that escorted the ANZAC convoy.

Ibuki it is. More of my idea of what a BC should be.

In case you don't know who Bernard Hermann was, he did the music for most of Hitchcock's '50s and '60s music. Here's some from a non-Hitchcock film.

Robert Mitchum is almost my favorite actor, after Burt Lancaster.

I'm going to ramble a bit. Some think Hitchcock's greatest film is Vertigo, and I'm one of those. Here is a graphic for the film. The eye in the picture belongs to Barbara Bel Geddes, and the glasses too. She played what seemed to be a bit part, and yet she is central to the film. Hitchcock, like many other directors, made dream films, and the question in this one is "who is the dreamer?" It's Barbara. Also, Herrmann's music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owm8RkA3FtA

I'm getting really tired of buying stuff and finding out it's Chinese made. It either arrives defective or breaks down within a year. There used to be a law that you had to say up front where something was made. What happened to that law? I once bought some sewing needles at Jo-Ann that were Chinese. Every single one broke when you put some thread through it and pulled. I went back and got some Czech made needles and you couldn't ask for anything better. Is there a place other than Amazon where you can buy stuff knowing up front where it was made? The Chinese put European names on their products to make them sound legitimate, but they're not.

This from the illiterate Chinese. I didn't respond to them but if I had it would be along the lines of: "No I don't want a defective clock to replace the defective clock you sent me. I want to get a clock from someone who makes clocks that aren't defective."

Send a letter to Jo-Ann fabrics headquarters to let them know about the problem and your solution of reconsidering your shopping there. Do your research to find out what companies don't make things in China - but that is difficult. Many components are Chinese made.
