Thanks in advance

I would state that the timeline is days, weeks, or months! ;)

But it should be done before the next Halloween . . .

I finally threw a towel in August 2023.

In my opinion it would have been better to focus on continously patching the stock scen001 so players could go further in grand campaign, to find possible bugs in years 1942-1945. I have found many bugs in Dec 1941 whose nature completely nullified my time investment into playing scen001 beyond Dec 1941.

Do you have a list of the bugs in scenario 1? If so, compile them and pass them along.

Remember, you can take the .exe and use it with the older Scenario 1 . . .

Okay, then someone who can do something about it can see it and fix the problems.

Hi Yaab, I hate to be a pain in the A$$ but could you compile a list and email it to me? It would be very helpful. Thanks....GP

Yes, the person who started that thread may not be available to keep up with it and other people who could do something about fixing those items may not be checking it.

Ok, we've done beta-2 build and done some testing, found a few issues, working thru those.

As to predicting when DONE - its tough, everything seems to take 10 times longer than expected, but we continue to inch closer and closer to the finish line - which is definitely within sight.

Thanks for the notice. I've got a game dragging into 1943, so plenty to do WITP-wise till then

Umm, WHAT??? Factories/resources are now mobile? I can pack up 500 oil and move them to - say Australia for 300PP?

..... This reminds me of a bug in Guad Campaign where you could put bases (like Truk) into a TF and sail them around and use them as unsinkable aircraft carriers.

If there IS an actual valid reason for putting factories (et al) into ground units (which I seriously doubt), might I suggest you at least put a garrison unit (or 200) into it to keep them from moving...?

And since the unit ID says "Bakersfield airfield", Im going to actually MOVE the unit to see if the airbase goes with it, and if so, to see what happens to the air unit on the base. This could be entertaining lol.

I looked in my version 1126a, Scenario 1 file and 1463 is Bakersfield under locations and the industries do go in the weapons slots. I see nothing in the editor page to make the base "static" except the "Static Attached" designation for the HQ attachment. But I note that your screenshot shows the Load Cost as "not loadable". I am not sure if the algorithm would check that for Strategic movement on land. The designation "Primary Airfield should make the move orders unselectable.

Update:

We've finished working thru RJ's issue list, now we're working on Yaab's issue list. So it could be another 1-2 weeks before we're done with those. Then we do our build and test, then Matrix does their build and we test, then Beta-2 will be publically released. And we'll give it another 30 days minimum for folks to shake that out before going production with that build.

Thus, it will probably be January 24 before all that ^^ gets done. Matrix is hyper busy during the period trying to release new games for XMAS.

But it should be a cinch to get our build done in Jan.

Updates will continue, we're in the home stretch at last.

Me going thru a "move from hecque" - 26 weeks of 800 mile round trips moving trailer load after trailer load of farm/house items. One round trip per week, definitely didn't help, but that's all done now. And this is up in my top 5 priority list.

He moved farther away from you!

I think he did it so he could emulate Frances Grumm when she spoke to a little dog, I think that the dog sang something about the rains in Africa. ;)
