Ship Withdrawal Question

Post by Aerosol2207 »

I have got the Indomitable in port at Colombo and overdue, but despite being in a Commonwealth port, the withdrawal button is not active. She is carrying 55 system damage points (due to me forgetting to remove mission speed on her way back from the Solomons), so all I can think is that I have to first repair her before withdrawal is an option? If so, I am really hosed as the Colombo shipyard is projecting 70+ days and it is costing me 50 pp / day. Any insight or help is much appreciated.

Too much damage, get it less than 50 . . .
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

By the way, you could have withdrawn her from Sydney . . .

Interesting.. so RN ships may withdraw from Australian ports but not Indian ports? I previously have been unable to withdraw from Bombay but when I pop down to Sri Lanka (Commonwealth bases at Tric / Colombo) it has worked.

Bombay starts the game at port level six, but if you can work it up to seven it sounds like you could withdraw there as any level seven port on the west coast of India qualifies for ship withdrawal.

Thanks guys this is very helpful. I must have an outdated manual as I referenced it before posting but it does not contain the detailed breakdown from the excerpt above.

The updated manual comes with the 1127 beta which not everyone has been enthusiastic to download.

What I think is worse is that a lot of people are complaining about how long this free update for an older game is taking. But if it was released with problems, those same people would then be complaining because of the problems that weren't fixed because that would have taken time, especially for the testing!
