Apply to Test Our New Unannounced Game

Post by MaximKI »

Hello everyone,

We're happy to announce that we're opening tester recruitment for our new game. This is an unannounced game based on the War in the Pacific design and is set around the Spanish Civil War.

Please note that the game is in an early beta test state.

For anyone interested, please go to this link HERE. Complete the application and make sure you read and accept the NDA.

We look forward to hearing from you!

So um....hey you guys. Is it possible to release some details about the game? I just recently, thanks Dr. Doctor, that the Spanish War is the one that happened in late 38-39 in Spain, not T. Roosevelt and the Rough Riders and that period. Who knew? Any way, I'm dying to see a screenshot of the map or something. Is it one day at a time, etc. Enquiring minds want to know.

I am not asking for the return of the ai generated chick pic. But as a Spaniard myself I would deeply apreciate a pic from the Aragon front. You know, the coffee George Orwell couldnt take in Huesca and whatnot

I tought about joining for a while. SCW is a favourite of mine. One of my surnames is "Ascaso" so its kinda personal. I would love to take a peek to the game but sadly i have no spare time to beta anything :(

I have yet to see one computer game that despicts the Spanish civil war as it was. Most of them present a struggle of two well organized militar powers, like Germany-USSR in WW2.

In reality the republican side had no chance when the rebel army crossed the Gibraltar strait. The Republic was torn and divided, trapped in a cross fire between anarchists and comunists. Regional basque and catalan goverment and central power.

If the National side didnt win the war earlier was because of lack of material and logistic. Frontal assault of Madrid was really hard because of this, as it was the flanking manouvres.

The republican side was unable to launch major succesful ofensives. Brunete (36) Segovia (37) Huesca (37) Teruel (38) Ebro (38) were great failures even when soviet material was available (in theory, far superior to anything the rebels had)

Anyway, i would love to know if the CRDA is represented in the game.

Maybe there is a developer willing to give us some treat ;)

Hi,
I've tought many times about the potential of that engine for the SCW. I wonder who is in charge of this design.
I have designeg Spain 1936, published by Matrix Games some years ago, Battles For Spain with Avalon Digitlal in 2019, and in less than a month will release Spain at War again with Avalon Digital, so Im very interested in the topic and in this development, best of luck!

Interesting to see 2 SCW games coming up, a topic that is still much alive in Spain today.

Good luck both to Leibst and to the developers of Matrix Games.

Same topic, but I guess very different games, in style and release, we will see :)

Not sure I can reveal too much about the game, but some of the old band from AE is back along with some new folks.

It's quite a colossal work. It has many thousands of items.
It's remotely similar to AE. But much more detailed.
Both in terms of building ground units and scale.

It's not easy to capture the political (ideological) side of SCW.
But still, it's somehow visible there.

True fans of the AE engine shouldn't hesitate for a second.
I hope I won't reveal any secrets.
But it should mark the beginning of a new game series..... Dali
