I suspect Ndeni is still defined to be IJ … go to the base list and you can see who tracker is saying owns it. you may need to advance a turn.

the other thing is that you grabbed the wrong save file … I've done that too many times … double check the file loaded (date/time stamp) to be sure it is correct ….

If tracker thought Ndeni was IJ, it would not show fuel and supply there.

I don't understand what you mean by the wrong save file. You can only load the proper save file.

Floyd, I did just try an experiment. I crated a new tracker with only the data from the current turn and it displays Santa Cruz Islands properly.

It would seem that there is a problem with retaking a base. I will see what happens in the future.

Maybe if the base changes hands multiple times it gets confused (it may be summing the resources in starting from when you held it before).
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Should this work with most recent Java for 64-bit systems? I don't have the 32-bit version on my computer. I installed program properly but when I run the batch file the program doesn't load up and program just stays in the Dos command looking window.

I believe Tracker uses 32-bit Java; at least that's what I use. That said, you can have both 32 and 64 bit Java installed simultaneously on your computer.

Just click the 'Windows Offline' link on the Java site HERE.

Then make sure you point Tracker to the 32-bit version of Java by modifying the file path to 'java.exe' in the Tracker file 'WitPTracker.bat' (in the Tracker folder). Open the file with a text editor like Notepad.

How should I open WitPTracker.bat with Notebook to set the file path?

You must edit WitpTracker.PROPERTIES file.

WitpTracker.PROPERTIES file

I followed the directions and made sure my info in WitpTracker.PROPERTIES file was exactly the same as the authors.

My bad.

Check if you have "Edit" option when you right-click WitpTRackerNoMap.Bat.

I used the "Edit" option for this file to change the path from 64-bit Java to 32-bit Java in Tracker.

Ok I sort of got it working.The program loads up but I am having problems getting the saved games to load up after a turn. I get messages like turn 2 is already loaded when I am on turn 3 or 4. Also when I direct the "multi-turn" to the game saved folder I don't see any saved games and message says not found. Will search the comments some more.

Select one save slot in the WiTP:AE save slot list. This will be your Tracker save slot for the rest of your campaign. I mostly choose slot 004 for this.

Amend the WitPTracker.PROPERTIES file in Notepad, where you have specify the save slot number in two lines.

My PROPERTIES lines look like this:

# Name of the base save file
SaveFile=[wpae004.pws]

# Text to put in the header of the main window
Header=[wpae004]

Run your turn in WiTP:AE.

Once your turn 1 is resolved, save it in slot 004.

Go to your SAVE folder in WiTP:AE and copy the saved 004.pws file. Drop this file in the main Tracker folder.

Open Tracker.

Click "Read turn" option to read the data from turn 1.

Play the game again, and save your resolved turn 2 in save slot 004.

Repeat ad infinitum.

I noticed that WitPTracker AE can not read saved game files in WiTP:AE SAVE game directory (wpae004 etc.) or can it?

No, it can't.

You have to manually copy your wpae004.pws file and paste it into your main Tracker folder. Only then will Tracker read the data from wpae004.pws file.

I can not believe how much bad information is given out:

From the witptracker/properties file

# Directory of the game
Dir=[d:\War in the Pacfic Admirals Edition\PBEM scen 1 gene]
# Type of game. 0=AI, 1=PBEM
GameType=[1]
# Side you are playing. 0=Japan, 1=Allies
Side=[1]
# Password. Only needed for PBEM
Password=[xxxxxxxx]
# Name of the base save file
SaveFile=[wpae005.pws]
# Mode the program will look for save files.
# 0 = just in the local folder
# 1 = just in the game folder: [Dir]/SAVE
# 2 = local and then if not found there, the game folder
SaveMode=[1]
# Text to put in the header of the main window
Header=[PBEM scen 1 Gene]
# Turn cycle (days per turn). 1 or 2 are supported
TurnCycle=[1]

If you use savemode=[1] then it will read the file from the save folder.

WHat I noticed is Yes it will read from game directory folder choice 1 in witptracker/properties file. My question is you don't actually see the saved game when you go to the save folder using WitPTracker AE.No save game file is actually visible. Only when I change the wpae00?.pws in Properties does WitPTracker AE read and "runs" the saved game in game directory that is not even visible.

I was hoping the saved games were visible in game directory saves so I wouldn't have to change the wpae00?.pws all the time.
