I was getting this from around 10am Sunday UK time until this morning.

I got that last night from home; my wife (an IT person) immediately said that site had hijacked Matrix's link and was using it for their own purposes, and not to click on ANYTHING on the new website (viruses and other nasty stuff could be downloaded). If you get redirected to that site, there's nothing you can do about it; any fix has to come from Matrix's end to regain control of their own link.

Interesting point on website hijacking.

My first suspicion would be Global Cooling deniers were behind it.

Hi all,

Guys, as a stopgap measure you can always do what I wrote few messages above (i.e. override the DNS of your ISP with entry on your PC)!

Leo "Apollo11"

The chronic problem that I experience has nothing to do with DNS. Contact is made to matrixgames.com and then the waiting begins...

It was not a hack or a hijack. Network Solutions screwed up the automatic renewal of our DNS despite this working fine the last ten years in a row, did not notify us of the issue and proceeded to switch over to their placeholder page. We resolved this with them within an hour of becoming aware of it, but it had already progagated across part of the internet. It takes time for the correct settings to re-propagate.

We've gone ahead and renewed for 10 years now to make sure it's a long time before this can be screwed up again.
