I'm fairly confident that once this "final" patch is released and after the initial glow of excitement fades there will still be bugs, there will still be issues left unaddressed, there will still be disappointed players clamoring for yet another patch. Much like how people clamor for WITP 3 despite years of being told nope. :D

Well, how would you like it after capturing Chengtu and Chungking and then another base goes from 1 Chinese Corps to 55 units since the Zombies are showing up there? It reminds me of a song: "Here we go again, same ol' shit again!"

Guys

When this comes out, are we to assume these will be mainly hard-coded changes taking place?
And we assume that all changes in the databases will be clearly listed... so modders can incorporate if they choose to do so?

I will be saving my next small patch until this comes out in case any of the changes require any re-balancing in the mod.

I've got good news for those waiting for the patch. I'm going off grid walleye fishing in northern MN Sep 20-28. Almost guarantee the patch will be released while I'm gone :D

Where are you going fishing in the most northern of the lower 48 states of the USA? Are you going to where you can look south into Big Canada Land?

I doubt it. Unless he has a boat to get there, he would have to travel through a part of Canada by land. Canada customs would confiscate his dynamite ... :P

Seems to be an endless cycle here:

1. Someone asks about the status of the patch.

2. Someone else replies "soon" just a few problems left to fix.

3. We're told it's in Matrix's hands and "testing".

4. A new problem or bug is then discovered while testing, or maybe just playing with the only publicly released version.

5. Relative silence then prevails for weeks as we wait.

6. People start getting sarcastic and making jokes about the patch (me included) and its issues.

7. Item 1 then gets repeated.

Things have been more or less been going this way for about a year (give or take) now. I'm all for getting the best possible patch out with as few issues (and hopefully none) as possible and people have really tried hard. We certainly don't want a final patch mess that needs a patch itself that it may never get, but there comes a point where somebody just has to say we've done the best we can, and things just can't be fixed without breaking something else.

Maybe the point of diminishing returns has arrived? Just my opinion based on what I've read here.

If you are referring to the NW Angle, he could get there by boat or airplane. But the customs station is just a place with a telephone. In the winter, he could drive there:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Angle

But where I was referring to looking south into Big Canada Land is from a whiskey importation area (during the 1920s and the early 1930s) into the USA where a person can look south into Big Canada Land. A person can't look and see Little Canada from there unless they were looking at a picture, video, or so on.

The last that I was informed after I reported my issue was that there were three errors to be corrected. I do not know if the error that I reported has been fixed or not, or even if it will be fixed. If it is not fixed, then the last base to be captured unless you want more Zombies to return should be Chengtu or Chungking unless it is just this one other base where they will return.

Fixing bugs is like playing whack-a-mole, fix one and others are found and/or return.

Actrade: When I was maybe 8 we went up to the Boundary Waters and we all canoed in with my uber-outdoorsmen Minnesota cousins, who were older, and I caught the only fish, a 3-lb. northern pike that fought like a madman. Great times. Would be very cool to return someday when they've figured out a way to mosquito-proof the place.

Only hard coded changes were listed last time so I would not expect a list of database changes:

ChangeHistory:
V1.01.27– 05 March 2022 (Game version shown as 1.8.11.27)
1. Ninth Update – This release is a comprehensive release updating all previous
versions to v1.01.27
Code Changes
1. Naval support not present at 0(0) port once port is built up
2. Another underway ammo replenishment issue if AE unable to reload the biggest weapon on
ship
3. Drawing ship a/c from pool at base uses replacement group if nearby
4. Tweak what is an 'instructor' for TRACOM purposes and allow casualties to them
5. Tweak group training mission not getting many op losses for low experience pilots
(increased fatigue of low experienced pilots and aircraft)
6. Aircraft upgrading to blank airframe
7. Mines not removed from ships in non-ML taskforce
8. Repair/maint of seaplane not expending supply (1 point per plane from tender supply if more
than seaplane support at base). Exceeding support did expend normal supply.
9. Added confirmation to ‘Disband TF’ button
