Submarine transport (once more)

Post by LargeSlowTarget »

I have troubles with the submarine transport mission.

What I have found via search function gave me the impression that it should be possible to move Para units with SST subs.

With this in mind, I have created a "Marine Amphibious Reconnaissance Coy" - the force that Nautilus transported to Abemama during Operation Galvanic.

The unit is composed of Para-Marines - device 1218 - and nothing else.

Yet Narwhal (configured as SST) at Pearl Harbor is unable to load this unit in combat mode.

On the load screen there are many units, but all - including the Para-Marines - are greyed out with "not in move mode".

What am I doing wrong?

In order for a LCU to be a "Para" unit the number 13 must be entered in the symbol field of the editor.

Great, that did it - many thanks, tanjman!

Stupid me - did see the 13 in the Para Bn but figured "Symbol" meant the LCU icons ("Nato symbols")...

Still have much to learn...

Btw - Solitaire?!?
