looking for more accurate full campaign mod

Post by Rising-Sun »

Though about jumping in there and try out the single player as full campaign in Japan side. Been in and out in the vanilla campaign, something doesnt feel right there. So i looked at the editor and took a peek on units, etc. Noticed alot of things is not right.

So would save me alot of troubles, if i could find the right mod as full campaign on Japanese side as single player. Also need a alittle adjustment on the usages for factories. There are tons of resources in Japan, that shouldnt be so high. Many units that will be deploy in the future are too much in their experiences as well.

Was hoping someone remember which mod or mods i should look into. I dont want something that is OP or their ideas for balancing, etc. Kinda hard to explain on how things should been setup or what i am really looking for. Not looking for something that make Japan extra strong either.

Edited, sorry for posting this. I am gonna abort this and find something else.

A person does not want too strong Japan. [:D]

I just played for Japan against AI. This is a colossal scam! No Japanese bomber can ever hit any allied fighter. Not once in a few days at all! Do not destroy. They can't even get into them. Never [X(] Yes, they would have hit so many shooting even by accident. Of course, the allies do not have such a problem [:D] Their light and medium bombers have effective defensive fire. (I'm not talking about 4E. Everything is clear there). Bad low-maneuverable American fighters easily cope with Japanese fighters with excellent pilots. What will happen next?! [:@]

Yeah, several things are wrong in Japanese side starting with ships. I thought of doing a more historical mod but never found the time for that.

@Mercenary the mvr of US aicraft is downgraded, i suspect this have to do to the huge benefits that speed advantge gives.

Yes there is something very wrong with fact that Japanese bombers are unable to down an allied fighter, a week ago or so i was reading a story how a Ki-30 Ann downed one of American fighters in Philippines, try that in game...
Another issue is that you cannot make aces of Ki-27 pilots while historical they were. Possibly the 7.7 MG's are too weak compared to RL.
Another issue is that recon flights are downed by AA in significant a historical numbers but not by enemy fighters.

US and other Allied aircraft usually had armour which vastly increased their survival rates from the damage caused by the lighter machine guns.

Well the reasons i abort this, i just realize that allied 4Es can really kill those Japanese ground forces with an ease, esp in open/clear terrain. I forgot all about that, someone just told me that. So the AIs will tear Japan up easy like that. I also noticed few tricks that the AIs does cheat at some points, after messing with the campaign as Japan vs. Allied AI for many hours few years ago.

So pretty much its all hardcoded, nothing can be done about it. Except for PBEM, hard to find the right players willing to stick with the rules or they dont show up at all at some points. Happen to me several times.

Gonna check out WarPlan Pacific soon and still waiting on that Distant Worlds II too.

I agree with all of the above, no wonder the game was so short lived[;)]

Well will be great if you find the right players and have plenty of time to play, etc.

No reason to waste a perfectly good thread. Let's not abort.

Now, does anyone know the answer, did the ancient Romans wear diphthongs at the beach?
