Fantastic news they are finally updating the forum. The slow downs, lag, server issues, crashes, double post issues, terrible search functions, etc. were becoming worse and worse...

hmmm, hopefully it's functioning better than the known forum but I wonder why the new one only takes about halve of my 24inch monitor? [&:] It's like going from a 16:9 TV back to a 4:3

Caster Troy, use the Control-Scroll wheel to zoom in, works fine.

Same for me, half of the screen.

The search function works much better!

Use the Control-Scroll wheel and you will get this. I reduced it to 1/2 size so it would not be too large

I suggest that any comments and suggestion be put on the thread at the link that I posted. I just put it here so people from this game forum would have a chance to see it and respond there.

The link doesn't load for me.

Hans Bolter is right:

-the white background is too bright, the grey lettering too washed out. The new color scheme is too hard on the eyes. The old forum color scheme is superior. The old forum leads 1:0.

-the two unused , dark grey vertical bars...Really? Smartphone users can just flip the phones horizontally. Do they really read forums vertically? The old forum uses the whole witdh of the screen. The old forum leads 2:0

Didnt use search, picture posting and quoting options in the new forum, so I can't comment on them.

Go to the top of the General Forum and post that on the thread named:

Yeah, but that doesn't put more text onto my screen, it's just zoomed in. Looks like the whole world has to fit on mobile devices nowadays. Pity on this forum we aren't all kiddies anymore.

I also agree that the black bars and the white background make the new format a downgrade for me.

I use dark modes on Firefox. This helps a lot with sites that still use the awful bright white backgrounds we all hate.

Dark mode extension works great.
