BUG***Corsairs Appearing 1942

Post by TheOx »

And not the CA Houston, which would be a good thing. My Sara and Lady Lex CVs went into refit at Pearl in March '42 and look what Santa brought me:

Thats right, 1 squadron of F4U-1D Corsairs per CV. Pretty damned fancy considering they aren't done researching it.

Assuming this is scenario #1
The VBF-2 is linked to the VS-2 group.

That means the VS-2 needs to be disbanded in order for the VBF-2 to arrive.
Can you show the in-game options screen? the one shown by the second button on the top line?
Thanks

That is the problem with adding lots of unnecessary micro-management. You get lots of unnecessary bugs........this game isn't going to be playable for awhile is it?

This problem comes up when a ship upgrades with aircraft capacity and just happens to have a linked group associated with it PLUS there is space on board.

This would only affect mainly the USN CVs where VS are suppose to be replaced by VFB.

If the starting complement of 5 groups had been left on the Lexington, then you would not have seen this as it would have left the VBF dormant because there was no space for it.

I beg to differ.
None of the 'bugs' I have seen so far exclude you from playing the game as it is.

I'm playing it very happily. I guess I'm able to because I'm not looking for excuses not to play it. [8|]

Whats the answer for now, just disband them? They won't keep coming back every 60/120 days will they?

Use them while you got them.

The hole they fell through has been sealed up for the first complete patch.

Ok, I wen to an earlier save and threw some crappy Buffalos on both CVs before they refit and the Corsairs didn't appear.

Or maybe you just have very low expectations. Or worse yet, play against the AI.

I'm playing it, but there are several game-breaking bugs right now. This being but one of them.

Well said. [:)]

I am doing the same. I have isolated a couple of bugs that they have fixed/are fixing and I still consider the game playable, enjoyable and highly addictive. With a project of this scope there are bound to be glitches, bugs, and how-about-thats but it's still playable and enjoyable right out of the (virtual) box and there are very few games (at least games beyond the scope of SpongeBob at the Races) that can claim that anymore.

Well, all I can say is just stop playing it then...and go on to something else that makes you happy instead of whinning about it here. If you can't grow up and be constructive then your posts are really quite useless.

You could use a house rule (self-imposed if against the AI) that you will park them somewhere until the proper time.

What if the AI upgrades? Will the same happen if the AI upgrades the carriers?
I play the Jap GC and I'm in March '42. Will I see allied F4Us soon or does this only happen to a human allied player?? [&:]

I believe the intention is for the patch NOT to require a restart...HOWEVER that is not to say it absolutely will not.
