He is upper management (as indicated by the wife's pearls) and it would be quite a faux pas for upper management to be seen with a pocket protector.

So that's irritating to you? Why didn't you say so earlier?ORIGINAL: geofflambert
I'm starting to be really irritated that Steve can converse with his friends behind my dorsal fins on his AAR. Why is it that they can't say whatever they think to my face?

Y'know, I've always wanted to be a Gorn for Halloween.

RE: The Gorn Supremacy; stock AW1Steve v. geofflambert
That's understandable. We gorn often dress up as humans for Halloween. For that reason most of us wear diapers on that unholy day. Our constables have to dress as Romulans so no one tries to kill them. Woe to the gorn who tries to cross a street while dressed as a human. "This is 911, please state your problem. 911, I just hit something, I think it might have been a human. Please wait while I check ... You're in luck, humans are in season just now. If you see any more feel free to run over them."

Mostly the best and most effective ways to kick your ass. Saying them to your face would be , shall we say "counterproductive". [:D]ORIGINAL: geofflambert

Call me old fashioned
You're old fashioned.
Thank-you. But I didn't say "Simon says call me old fashioned" and therefore you are disqualified.

So is today the day this thing gets off the ground?
The world waits with bated breath...
...well when I say bated breath I mean with interest....

Behind your back? Well, since it appears that your ear portals are on the back side of your head, we just thought that it was easier for you to hear us...

Did someone say something about baited breath? Minnows or bluegill perhaps? That heavenly aroma.
RE: The Gorn Supremacy; stock AW1Steve v. geofflambert
Just a quick question - Do you think the hit rate on this AAR will go down if the game starts?
Common Sense is an uncommon virtue.
If you think you have everything under control, you don't fully understand the situation.

The only way to know that is for the game to start. Clear all your appointments, it could begin at any time.

My original guess for game start was page 13. That's not looking good... [:(]

Well... not a native speaker here, but "at any time" clearly does not mean "in no time"... or am I wrong ?
