The US ID isn't that big of a deal, but killing that Aussie ID is ... good job.ORIGINAL: Lowpe
Hmm., where to begin. How about Burma. Japan bombs and strafes, Allies quiet.

Bombing CHI devices => good exp for your bomber pilots. SWEET! [8D]

I agree. Extricate ASAP as best you can. Get those Mavis/Emily engaged.ORIGINAL: Lowpe
New Britain
The main Yankee/Australian/New Zealander thrust. What a mess of troops out there, that I am barely keeping in supply, and really need to pull back from the monster runways the Allies have, while delaying and inflicting some losses.

Well, yes and no. Sure the Mamiya is a lot of points, but AG's are a dime a dozen in terms of converting xAK's to them so I don't consider it much of a loss.ORIGINAL: Lowpe
Plane losses for the day was tiny, but ship losses substantial for Japan. The collision is wishful thinking I am sure. But that Island is always a good hunting ground for Iboats.

RE: Finis
I use fighter bombers in their ground support role. Really, anywhere the Allies have light AA I will send them in. I will also send them in against decent AA protected troops if I want to bleed the supplies down prior to an attack.
I also use them for deep base defense. That the Allies haven't done any deep base raids allows me to keep using them in their fighter bomber role for now.
As you can see, they have been busy and the average pilot experience is quite high.
I also have used Oscars in this role, and I am now transitioning over my Tony sentais' to this role, too.
The experience gain is good, the risk generally low.

The 12th Division...one of Japan's best divisions, but this guy has been rebuilt after being destroyed at Hollywood.
They are resting at Bangkok, prepped for Moulmein. I think they will wait a bit at Bangkok, in case the Allies make a move towards Sumatra. I am loathe to send more troops into Burma.
Hopefully they can raise their experience a bit now.

Jeff, you're dealing with the fabled New Guinea Displacement Syndrome.

To clarify, look at your Strategic Map up above. You'll immediately spot the New Guinea Displacement Syndrome.

The true cost of losing a crack division ... exp on replacement devices comes in at the national starting point which is 35 for most of the IJ .... [:(]ORIGINAL: Lowpe

Supply cost isn't insignificant either.[:(]

Meanings within meanings within conundrums wrapped in enigma machines...almost typed another en word by freudian mistake.
I am glad you pointed that out to me.[:D]
