Problem solved !
In case anybody else has this issue the problem was apparently caused by the -colorBlind switch in the command line. I deleted this switch and all is working fine now.

Hi Chemkid,
Really sorry for asking this as i'm sure it's somewhere, but for the life of me, cannot find any reference to it.
I'm looking for the 'Juan's Off-Map Aircraft Purchase System' version for your amazingly beautiful Rainy V2 version. I use the V2 exclusively now for the DBB/BigB version, but I was looking for the purchase system images as I wanted to get ready for the upcoming RA-BigB version that John is just starting up.
Thanks
Dave...

Hi szmike,
Thanks. I already have all of the v1 versions for the new purchase system. What i'm looking for, is the Purchase system files for the V2 Rainy version.
I can merge the v1 versions, but the colors/tins are off, or simply not have any labels, but wanted to know if the V2 version had been made.
Thanks
Dave

Wow! These maps are just amazing work. Kudos! [&o]

Chemkid, I adore you work, but the flag icons are too blurred. Consider reverting to the stock ones. The flags are too small to handle gloss, shading and waiving effects. They should be filled with solid colors. Right now they have almost the same texture as the underlying terrain map. They do not stand out from the background well.

Looks great, Chemkid!
I'm still too in love with Sunny Day to switch though! [:D]
Yaab,
I agree with your preference for the stock maps; luckily, changing them is as simple as changing the flag bitmap file to the version you prefer. I've done several mods to my copy of Chemkid's map to suit my own nit-picking.
Edit: flag bitmap, not map

Are the flags incorporated into the map permanently or can you swap out the files that have them with the stock files?

Sorry, cross post. I said basically the same thing.

Sorry, I completely forgot that icons are not a part of the map set. The set consists of the map tiles and the icons are not included. I rest my case.

Raise a little sand...
Very Nice maps!!!
Been experimenting on adding the terrain types.
I have laid the original map, at a transparency of ~40%, on top on your rainy day v1 to show the terrain types.
If you would grant me permission to use your maps I would like to combine the maps for new results. Or you could try my technique.
Every thing but the labels seem to line up perfect.
Do you have either your new maps or the original map with out labels? The roads and rail align fine, just not the labels.
OOppps! it will not let me load the pic of the merged maps, but it does look good.

Beautiful! Really appreciate the obvious amount of hard yet loving work that has gone into making this map. It is a work of art, and I cannot stop looking at it!
I wonder if there is a way to have the the ships and the other units show up more clearly, with a strong distinction between the two sides. E.g., is there an option to retain the red and green icons of the original map, or some other a mod I can use to have the same effect? It's probably because I am just starting the game, and maybe more seasoned players will not have this problem because they can keep everything straight in their heads, but I have problems picking out the light grey units off the map background, and it requires a little more effort to distinguish between "mine" and "theirs". Not a big deal, and I can certainly go back to the original map until I am seasoned enough not to need such strong cues. But if there is a way to have BOTH this beautiful map and clear red/green unit icons that would be great!
Either way, thank you so much for this effort!
