I don't have any trouble running both Tracker and Combat Reporter with Java 7.

My execute line looks like this:

java -splash:UV1024.jpg -Xmx1024m -jar combatReport.jar
pause

glad to hear you are able to get java 7 working with both. Maybe it is java 8 that is the culprit? I don't know.

tracker was updated for the new java, I was not able to get reporter to do so and got error windows like above. Moving back to java 6 worked for me. Hopefully you can offer advice to the two above.

OK so I installed Java 6 and still have 1.8 installed to run tracker. Pointed combat report to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -splash:UV1024.jpg -Xmx1024m -jar combatreporter.jar
pause , create an environmental variable to the bin folder. Now I get the same error. Can two versions of java not be run at the same time? Only doing this because on the tracker form they told me it could be done grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have Java 8_51 installed and changed all of the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" to just java and both work fine.

I found the issue and I think it applies to anyone getting the groovey messages. The jar file is not being extracted and not creating the necessary libraries to run the program. In order to extract the jar files from the witptracker.jar file I had to download a jdk version of java. In the bin folder there's not only a java but also a jar. If you go back to where you installed combat reporter and click on the comabtreporter.jar file, open with the jar program from the jdk/bin folder - this will extract the groovey libraries needed and combat reporter should now work. Just downloading a 32 bit java client does not seem to work because it does not contain the jar application to unpack the file, this giving the groovey errors. Don't know if that applies to some above but it fixed my issue. I downloaded Java jdk1.7.0_79

…….In order to extract the jar files from the witptracker.jar file…….

No.

Both Tracker and Combat reporter are two separate stand alone programs.
Each one extracts data from the game save files. Not from each other.

Combat Reporter does not need to extract data from the Tracker Jar.
You don’t need Tracker to run Combat Reporter.

They don’t work on a single execute.

I have both Tracker and Combat Reporter on my Desktop.

First I open the Tracker base and Double click the WitPTrackerNoMap.bat to run the program.

Then I open the Combat Reporter base and double click the combatreport.bat to run that program.

If you edit the bat files you can run one with Java 7 and one with Java 6 if you want.
It just needs the correct path.

I have been using combat report on java 6 for a month, over on the tracker form they told me I could run both and combat reporter now used current versions of java. Well it did not work, as the errors above state. I was only able to make tracker work using any version of java, combat report would never work even when I reinstalled 6. It did not work until I unpacked the combatreport.jar file, to do that I had to have the jar jdk package. Running a bat file only gave errors about the groovey classes missing.

After using this for two weeks, I must say, awesome tool.

One tweak I could recommend if I may:

Can the dates be set in reverse chronological order, i.e. newest dates on top?

I photoshopped what I mean:

Can anyone tell me why my dates are mixed up? This is one of three games and the others work fine.

Are you re-running combat replays? That would be my guess.

No, I rarely have to rerun a combat replay.

Cool. Would it be possible to reverse order the dates so that the newest go on top?

I think it does all ready. I have three games that all use the default java( something like 8.56 now )
and run fine except the one game indicated above that has dates a bit wonky.

By the way, I reset the monitoring dates and it fixed itself.

I just did some work on the code to make it run with Java 8.65+ and 64 bit. It may run on earlier versions as well, but it should now be 64 bit compatible.

I have tested it on my Windows 10 machine and uploaded a new distribution at the following link. It is now version 1.1
