Feature request? How about a reverse sort on the date so that the most recent results are on top.

Actually, why didn't I think of that before. Hmmm, shouldn't be too difficult. I look at it.

Just started using this and it looks great.
I have a problem though with the sightings reports. Even though I have several sub sightings near Annette Island, and the hex locations are different, the highlighted position shows Annette Island NOT where the sighting occurs. Can this be rectified please?

Great tool. Thanks for the time you have devoted to it!
Sometimes things said in Nitwit sound very different in English.
RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
Hi, I have same problem as Chrisol.
CR suddenly doesnt load any new combat reports and starting to show this error.
Exception in thread "Thread-4" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string

RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
I found a solution. Simply I deleted last combat report.txt which Combat reporter loaded. After this another CR.txt load succesfull.
RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
Bret, I'm getting this error. I had been running it fine for some time. I'm not running anything else at the time, and my machine is no slouch, so I'm puzzled.

RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
First thanks for this great tool.
Now I have a suggestions, how about showing the hex coordinates when clicking manually on a hex, that would be useful for locations that the tool doesn't jump too for any reason.

RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
How does the "jump to location" procedure work?
I ask because at the moment I get a lot messages over Alor Star but the Combat Report always jumps to Alor(north of Timor).

If you've installed java, the problem is a java pathing problem that can be fixed in a number of ways ...ORIGINAL: Smeulders
I've recently started using a new computer and I have problems getting the combat reporter to run on this one. The problem seems to be with Java as I get the message (roughly translated from Dutch)
"Java was not recognized as internal or external task, program or batch-file" after which it ends. I've had similar problems getting WITP Tracker to work, but these were solved after I got a correct version of Java (v.6 update 21, running windows 7). Any idea what could fix this problem ? The previous computer ran windows XP and had several older versions of Java installed as well.
1. Change the batch to point to java (you'll need to check where it's installed ... this is for 64 bit OSCode: Select all
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -splash:UV1024.jpg -Xmx1024m -jar combatreport.jar pause

I upgraded my computer (Win 7 on an i7) and was having no success running Combat Reporter. Your above suggestion worked like a charm - I am most grateful.
bretg80 - Combat Reporter is absolutely outstanding - not only important to planning a response to last turns activity, but significantly reduces the time needed to do so.
Thank You Sir!

Hi, haven't been on the forum in a while. did you get this working?

RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
I loaded the locations from the tracker tool and sometimes what shows up in the reports vs the tracker tool are different and the jump procedure can't find it. It's probably a database error I need to fix. Also, I'll look at putting the hex locations so you can find things if the jump doesn't work.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'm actually working on a design for Combat Reporter 2 right now. Once I have it finalized I'll share it with everyone and solicit input.

Three cheers for Bretg80 [&o][&o][&o] Thank you very much and looking forward to version 2.
RE: Combat Reporter - report monitoring tool
New version of Combat Reporter uploaded. Hover over mouse indicates hex location. I tried to address BigDuke66's issue, but am not sure I fixed it. BigDuke66 if this update does not address your issue, if you could PM me a copy of the report file that you are having problems with that would help me diagnose it.
Please let me know if you find any other issues. See first posting in this thread for release notes.
