Change map Kami2 or Bellum Pacifica

Post by cirrius06 »

hello everyone
I would like to change the map in my current game.
I apparently followed the instructions, I downloaded the kami2 or Bellum Pacifica files but nothing changes ! I still have the base map in the game.
Yet the new downloaded files overwrite those of the original version ?

Scroll to north east corner of map and see if there is thing about terrains etc. and Bellum Pacifica etc.

BP look from first sight bit like stock map but colours are smoother and less aggravating etc.

by Sardaukar,

Thank you but my question is: why do the Kami2 or Bellum Pacifica map modes not appear in the game even though in the "ART" directory I deleted the original maps?
(Note that only the small card at the bottom right is hanging).
In the "readme" files it is specified that the new "Art" files erase (or overwrite) the originals.

Then something has gone wrong with installation.

Witp-AE comes with two sets of maps - one with visible hexes (map files named "WPEHxx") and another without visible hexes (map files named "WPENxx").

In the "Preferences" menu there is a "Map Style" toggle to switch between the maps with and without hexes.

The Kamikaze and Bellum Pacifica maps use files named "WPEHxx", therefore the map style toggle must be set to "With hexes" in order to use these maps.
