Only 3 days remain for the WarPlan's release, so better starting the engines. In the meantime, we have something for you.

We have prepared a series of tutorials, meant to guide you through all the details and mechanics, to give you a precise picture of how well balanced and deep the game is.

The first two tutorials to go cover the Map and the Menu.

The narrator of the tutorials has a nice-sounding voice, but his extremely odd inflections of the spoken words makes it very difficult often to understand what he's saying. It's like he's using a phony British dialect with muffled consonant sounds. Just wishing that the tutorials had an audio that didn't require work to listen to.

OK, so it's not just me.

Great tutorials. But same here about oral comprehension, a little bit difficult for me. I'm spanish and I have one ear in front of the other [:D]

Quite well done in all regards, for me. The narrator was just in a hurry, trying to get over a lot of material in a short time. Perfick.

I don't want to be overly negative, but that's how the narrator always speaks on his YouTube videos. Not hurried. His other videos are really good, but I just wish it wasn't such a struggle to listen to his lisping or whatever it is. Count Dracula???

Looking forward to the game, and there are several other "first look" videos out about the game that are very good.

Only took me a little time and I had no issue, and the content was great.

Nice, far more useful than those early video's.

And the game looks great.

These tutorials are great, I'm sure, but please next time get a narrator that can enunciate his words much, much more clearly. I am constantly having to rewind just to understand the words he is saying. This is very frustrating.

But, I REALLY do appreciate that you created these video tutorials. Just think about making them easier to understand. It really brings the quality down.

And, for Pete's Sake (whoever Pete is), SLOW down when you're talking. You already have trouble enunciating your words, and when you talk fast, it just becomes a jumble of words that I can't understand.

For example, in the first tutorial video, at 3:30, I have absolutely no idea what he is saying about air units attacking, even after replaying that section many, many times. Please - what is he saying here?

He just needs to slow down a tad, he is rushing through it.

Yes, really. Why would I write this I really didn't have an issue? All I could understand after multiple listens was, "Air units have an additional red lit hex wahh wahh wahh wahh".

Thank you for the translation! [:)]

Out of curiosity, what region of Britain would his accent originate?

Thanks. It sounds English but an odd unfamiliar sort of English.

These videos are far better than the month-old ones!
But yes, it is a little bist of work to follow the vocal descriptions, as I am not a nativ speeker.
Have a look a YT videos from a guy named Paradogs Gamer, who made a lot of SC3 videos.
A pleasure to follow....[:)]
Otherwise War Plan is a Must Buy for me...

Being a Swede, I may have more problems hearing what the narrator says, than that of native speakers, but there's a lot that I just can't "translate", despite repeated passes. So I line-up with those slightly disappointed.

That said, however, are you sure this is actually a real person? Sounds more like a robot. I have been listening intently to certain words, and think he says them in exactly the same way each time they come up. Listen to the word "Advancements" in the same video. I'm a writer and use robots to listen to my own texts. It sounds very much like this, not just the talk in itself, but also the exact time-space between each sentence.

But I'm not sure.
