Newbie Weather Symbols

Coming back after playing the the game sometime ago

Am I right in thinking that weather used to be a rain drop in the corner of the hex for rain, 2 droplets for heavy rain, a snowflake for snow etc

Have these now gone -is there an option to use them

sun with icicle means clear weather no invasion. Otherwise the same
