In Germany the area controlled by the Axis get smaller all the time but it will be a bit of a slog to get through to world peace [:)].

Peace again reigns in Europe as the Western allies and the Soviets divide Germany between them.

Pretty insane losses in this game but in all honesty I havent played many games going this far so maybe they are not very insane after all.

Game ended

Post by MagicMissile »

Game is over.

Thanks again to ComadrejaKorp for a very nice intense exciting game.

The BoA gave me gray hairs more than I already have and those annoying invasions in Africa argh so annoying! [:)]
but in the end the deep penetration of Russia just before bad weather occurred together with those costly attacks in Africa together losing 6 mobile units in 1941 cost too much and then losing a bit too many German units in the summer of 1942 ensured the German army was never very big and even though the British did not build a single unit for 3 years and even though the summer of 1943 Soviet offensive was very close with very tense fighting finishing off the Axis was never really in doubt.

Again apologize if I sound too grouchy when it came to the subs. I guess it is the fact that there is not all that much you can do about it and what at least seems to me to be a huge range of outcomes which makes it much more random than the land part of the game that riles me a bit. And it felt really awful not to build any units for the British for such a long time but it worked out in the end [:)]

But I think maybe it was the brilliant campaign to take Spain and then Gibraltar that made BoA so bad for me and in that case it was well deserved. I am playing 4 games now under latest patch they are all in summer/fall of 1940 so early days yet. My impression is that in some games the subs do better and in some they do worse but in none does it feel like they will do as well as in this game but we will see it is a long way to go yet. I plan to post screenshots of these games as they develop.

Finally someone who recognizes my effort, I had to kill my troops very quickly to get this VP victory! (:

Thank you MM for this Aar,

This game also started badly for me, the weather delayed the attack on France and this delayed my plans, although BoA worked much better than expected.

But again MM was better tactically and destroyed my armor, that's how he stole any hope of Axis victory.

The best player has won, congratulations!

Thank you for this very good AAR.
I'm surprised by the speed at which the germans collapsed.
