HotKeys for modding and testing

Post by AlvaroSousa »

I forgot to update the mod manual with the following. Some of the keys changed because players were accidentally hitting them during play.

F1-F4 do on any A.I. turn it doesn't popup a message but it does show in the logs. This chooses the strategy #1, #2, #3, #4. The computer has at most 3 strategies for the Axis. The Allies have 2 if I remember.

F7 only in the main menu - reduces computer delay speed to .01s so it speeds through playing itself.

F8 only in the main menu - computer players itself.

Control + F9 = only on A.I. turn stops the A.I. move so you can look at the map and units. Hit it again and it will continue the A.I. turn. DO NOT hit end of turn.

F11 = During the computer’s turn the map will show the current map orders for the side doing their
turn. It also shows objective hexes for the A.I. to take.
Blue = assault
Aqua = attack
Yellow = defend
Red = weak

F12 = Reveals information about hex where mouse is hovering.
FrCV = Friendly land unit combat value within tactical range.
FrLand = Friendly land amount in tactical range.
FrAir = Friendly air amount in strategic range.
EnCV = Enemy land unit combat value within tactical range.
EnLand = Enemy land amount in tactical range.
EnAir = Enemy air amount in strategic range.
EnThreat = If any enemy units are capable of moving into that hex this turn.
Hex Defense = The total formulated defense value from the computer perspective considering map
orders, terrain, weather, and supply.
Retreat Order = If that area has a map order of retreat.
Ignore Order = If that area has a map order of ignore.
Axis Obj = If this hex is an Axis objective.
Axis Order = The current Axis map order for the hex.
Allied Obj = If this hex is an Allied objective.
Allied Order = The current Allied map order for the hex.
If the mouse is hovering over a unit it will show the unit name, the current script gather order, and the
gather script order name

Thank you, this helps.

I could also use an explanation in the use of flags. There is sparse info on that in the manual

Flags in the events. I don't think you used them yourself. I seem to recall there was 32 of them.
