Where to put mod unit images

I have seen that the mods should be put in

C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns

and then under the campaign.

However, I do not see the png files in those directories on my system.

They appear to be under

C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns\New Scenario Scripts

But changing these does nothing.

Where is the right place to put moded images?

You have the correct folder, Andrew.
That folder defaults to no .png files. Only the custom .pngs go there. The game gets default .png from somewhere else.

I have the base png models to mod in the userData. dont change those. Copy them to the scenario folder you want to add it to. Then change those.
