Attacking Bordeaux in winter

Attacking Bordeaux in winter...

Bordeaux is separated from hex 60,26 to the east by a coastal hex side. Should this not be frozen over in winter to allow an attack? It seems somewhat similar to the across coastal hex attack that can be made in Netherlands in winter.

Just remembering by heart, not looking at the map, that hex is pure Sea. You cannot attack across the sea even in snow.

About the Netherlands, you may be referring to a certain hex in N. that is a Channel. It could have been a lake if so but never the Sea, AFAIK.

Edit, I see, you are referring to a lake, the IJsselmeer
